Random Thoughts

Van's Words

Okay, Wala Diay Ni’y Title

I’ve been really pressured with hell week. Well, I don’t have a literal hell week since I decided to shift next semester. However, there are these minor subjects that are pressing some MAJOR requirements. I haven’t actually passed an assignment in Geo yet and it’s worrying me a little. I don’t really know if I would pass majority of the units that I took this semester. =((

I shouldn’t have took this test sem. It was my idea, now I regret it. I told my mom that I would try one more semester on Computer Science to test the waters, before finally deciding on shifting courses. My test sem proved that I don’t have the same drive with computer science anymore. The works I’ve done were never rewarding anymore, although they were some of the bests. And the more I continued with the course, the more complicated it became. The teachers were also setting up high expectations from us, that I don’t really think I could live up to — or study up to, whichever works.

SO! I want to veer away from that muna.

Here is the random thought of the day. Yesterday, as I was strolling away in National Bookstore, I thought of writing again. I plan on writing fiction or factual fiction, a genre I invented. It is an imagined reality that is lived by the author in his mind. The events maybe true or not, as long as it is what is reality for the author, me. So, watch out for my posts here about the writing that I will do. I will update you guys for more.

Dior’s New Look

As all fashion enthusiasts know, in 1947, Christian Dior revolutionized the fashion industry by his “new look.” This new look, featured padded shoulders, tiny cinched waist, full hips and calf length skirt.

This look was illustrated in various fashion illustrators, among them is Mr. Rene Gruau, Dior’s famed illustrator.

Today I Woke Up Beautiful

Maybe, it was the good night’s sleep or maybe it was because it’s Friday, basta today, I woke up feeling beautiful.

Several weeks ago, we had a meeting within our dorm room about certain behaviors that we had to change. Some of those was to minimize the unnecessary noise and putting off the lights at 12.00 mn. (read: http://vanoscar.tumblr.com/post/15993306492/sleeping-habits) The changes were implemented right away. Because of this, I started sleeping earlier.

As we all know, a good sleep is followed by a good waking up (Maybe?).

After I have opened my eyes, I put on ear-phones immediately and played my morning playlist: Madonna’s Hard Candy!

This album is filled with music that will just start your day! I love hearing the I-don’t-really-care-about-you-as-long-as-I-am-happy vibe of this whole album. Also, it’s songs are upbeat, which is a perfect wake-me-upper.

What is your morning playlist?

Updates

I haven’t been posting lately. =)) So, now, this is an update post. I have been consistent with my dieting and little exercises. I started jogging this week and it was great. Also, I was consistent in eating less than my usual amount of intake. In a way, I can say that I’m starting to do little lifestyle changes. I hope that these changes would benefit me.

Well, I plan to pace up next week, so right now I pray for guidance and consistency in what I do.

Today, It Started!

Today, I jogged! Not much though, I only did 3 straight rounds around the campus. Anyhow, it was a great feeling. That feeling of sweat all over my body (my own sweat) made me feel like I’m burning lots of calories. I hope I could do much more in the days to come.
